Intrinsically Safe Radios

All electrical devices run the risk of sparking or heating up and catching aflame. However, an intrinsically safe device is built to prevent this risk. Using intrinsically safe devices becomes increasingly important when exposed to hazardous substances such as ignitable fibres, flammable gases, vapours, or liquids, where an exposed flame from your device won’t only be bad for the device itself, but to you and your entire team.

TETRA Open Digital Radio Standard

TETRA is an international open digital radio standard developed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).  It is the most widely deployed digital radio standard in the world – used in a variety of applications from huge public safety systems in Europe to small manufacturing operations.  The standard was developed over ten years ago – and continues to be updated regularly to ensure it remains at the forefront of radio technology.
