The STP Series In-Vehicle Charger is a GSM-style charger that can be plugged into a 12V-24VDC output, allowing a battery charge whilst fitted to an STP Series hand-portable radio.
An LED light fitted to the SC2 Series In-Vehicle Charger indicates that power is being supplied to the unit, whereas the transceiver tri-colour LED light indicates the battery status while charging:

- Amber: Battery is not ready for use and is charging.
- Flashing Red: Fault
